From Franklin,
Tennessee, Paramore have taken
the world by storm since they formed in 2004. They’ve become worldwide
chartoppers the world over, lost two members and toured constantly. But now, as
a threesome, Paramore are working on
their fourth studio album.
The band have revealed that the record will
be produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who
has worked with Nine-Inch Nails and Beck in the past. Frontman and lead
vocalist Hayley Williams, the queen
of Pop Punk, who has been voted
Sexist Female by Kerrang Magazine
countless times stated in a recent interview with Buzznet, how “liberating” working with Meldal-Johnsen was.
Williams
said recording this album “easily the most inspired experience” she’d had in
the studio so far. Paramore have
already recorded one track for their fourth album ‘Daydreaming.’, and the album itself is thought be a step in a more
mature but positive direction compared to the band’s past work.
Hayley
Williams explained to fans how she tends to “laugh things off” now, compared
to when she was just 19. “Even the songs with the more serious subject matter
feel less toiled and troubled.” she said, and hinted at a new sound completely.
Queen of Pop Punk: Hayley Williams |
Paramore will
play Reading and Leeds festivals this
August, along with gigs in Belfast and Edinburgh just days before. These will
be their very first UK shows since the departure of the Farro brothers from the band last year.
